SERBIA

MSO Concertmaster Miroslav Pavlovic was born in Kragujevac, Serbia. He started playing violin at the School for Musical Talents in Cuprija, after which he continued the Belgrade Faculty of Music, where he was mentored by Prof. Aleksandar Pavlovic. In 1999, he was appointed the Concertmaster of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra - one of Serbia's most prestigious symphony orchestras. He has performed to great acclaim with many famous internationally recognized artists, such as Zubin Mehta, Michail Jurowski, Mischa Maisky, Uroš Lajovic, Muhai Tang and others.

 

Miroslav appears often as a soloist and has performed also with the “Stanislav Binicki” Orchestra of the Serbian Army, the Serbian Chamber Orchestra, pianists Ivana Pavlovic, Biljana Gorunovic, etc.

 

Mr Pavlovic was engaged as the concertmaster of the Mokranjac String Quartet, the Belgrade Philharmonic Octet, the first violin of the Ars String Quartet, etc. As a chamber musician, he has cooperated with Gordan Nikolic, Jane Thomsen, Aleksandar Sandorov, Sandra Belic, Ljiljana Nestorovska, Hagai Shaham and many others. He joined MSO in 2018.

 

He teaches at the Academy of Arts Novi Sad.
